Activities, experiences and summer camps in Indianapolis your kids will love!

Summer break is quickly approaching and Indy has a great selection of camps and activities for kids. Here is a listing of some of the most popular:

 

Anderson University Summer Academy

At Anderson University, we strive to provide exciting summer opportunities on our beautiful campus. We provide a safe environment for teens to explore the topics they care about on a deeper level and meet new people in a variety of academic programs and athletic camps.

 

Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation Summer Camp Series

Ready for the best summer ever? We are your child’s summer camp destination. Our camp themes include art, theatre, sports, nature and science – so we’re sure to have something for everyone!

Our 2019 weekly camps will run from June 3 – August 2. We hold camps Monday – Friday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. – times vary by camp. Depending on the camp, ratios are either 1-to-12 or 1-to-15.

We can’t wait for your child to join us in our Summer Camp Series for 2019. Let’s have some fun!

 

IUPUI Day Camps

Our mission is to create a safe and encouraging environment where children develop healthy habits while engaging in individualized activities designed to support success at any age, skill, or level of ability.

 

Indy Parks and Recreation

Indy Parks and Recreation’s summer day camp programs offers swimming, arts, nature, science, sports and recreation, and more. All camps are accredited by the American Camp Association.

Day camps are offered at Broad Ripple Park, Christian Park, Frederick Douglass Park, Eagle Creek Earth Discovery Center, Eagle Creek Ornithology Center, Ellenberger Park, Garfield Park Arts Center, Garfield Park Burrello Family Center, Holliday Park, Krannert Park, Rhodius Park, Riverside Park, Thatcher Park, and Southeastway Park.

 

Indiana Repertory Theatre Summer Youth Workshops

IRT is proud to announce a slate of summer opportunities designed to bring theatre to life for your child! With Step On Stage and our brand-new Stage One program, aspiring performers will get a chance to explore the skills every actor needs. Also, our revamped Summer Shakespeare Conservatory returns to provide an intensive training opportunity for teen actors to immerse themselves in work alongside IRT artists.

 

Junior Achievement of Indiana

Junior Achievement of Central Indiana is pleased to provide a fresh alternative for central Indiana youth looking for an engaging summer camp experience. The mornings are spent in large and small group sessions devoted to entrepreneur and philanthropic topics. The afternoons are spent highlighting experiential learning opportunities with the traditional Junior Achievement BizTown® venue (a kid-tested blast of fun).

 

Summer U at University High School

University High School offers summer enrichment camps, academic workshops, and for-credit classes for elementary, middle, and high school students. Our camps cover everything from study skills, robotics, rocketry, computer programming and development to theater, visual arts, and creative writing. Before and after care is available as well.

YMCA of Greater Indianapolis Day Camps

When school’s out, we’re in! Whether it’s summer or a holiday or special event during the school year, YMCA camp lets kids make new friends and take part in new activities that stimulate a healthy lifestyle, instill self-confidence, and inspire leadership.
