Looking for something fun to do?
We love Indy! In addition to the wonderful people, beautiful homes and endless delicious dining choices, there are always fun and unique things to do. So if you have family coming in to visit this weekend or are just looking to get the kids out of the house, don’t miss the chance to explore our great city!
Whether you are new to Indianapolis or born and raised, one event that you cannot miss is the annual Wheeler Mission Drumstick Dash. This Thanksgiving morning run takes place in Broad Ripple and is a great way to get in a little exercise before feasting with the family. Best of all, 100% of the proceeds will help support homeless men, women and children at Wheeler Mission. Get your tickets here.
In Carmel, now through December 18, the Carmel Christkindlmarkt is bringing old world German charm to Indiana. The market is located between The Palladium and The Tarkington Theater and features a magnificent variety of holiday gifts, handcrafted decorations, ice-skating, food, drink and more. Don’t miss the chance to experience a taste of an authentic German Christmas market right here at home.
A new experience that is “lighting” up the city is Winterlights at Newfields. This magical walking Christmas light experience just opened on Sunday but it is already receiving rave reviews. We loved this video that local Hoosier photographer Daniel Alecio created that shows some of the hightlights of the display.
So bundle up, get out there and check out what Indy has to offer!
